David Blackburn (American Football)
David Blackburn (born May 26, 1982) is an American professional football executive who is the director of player personnel for the Washington Commanders of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football as a cornerback for the DePauw Tigers, earning four All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors. Blackburn was a scout for the NFL's Baltimore Ravens for 16 years prior to joining the Commanders in 2024. Early life Blackburn was born on May 26, 1982, in Indianapolis, Indiana, later attending Ben Davis High School. He played college football as a cornerback for the Tigers of DePauw University, earning four All-Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference honors from 2000 to 2004. David Blackburn (artist)
David Blackburn Order of the British Empire, MBE (22 June 193923 March 2016) was a British artist based in the north of England. He worked almost exclusively in the pastel medium and was noted for his highly evocative depictions of the landscape. Early life and education Blackburn was born in Huddersfield in 1939 to Wilfred, a painter and decorator, and Nora. As an only child, Blackburn spent his time painting and walking on the moors near his home; it is this period which he credits as helping him to the cultivate the ‘strong inner vision’ which is a major hallmark of his art. After securing a scholarship to the local grammar school, Blackburn studied at the Huddersfield School of Art for several years. Vice Admiral Sir David Anthony James 'Tom' Blackburn, (born 18 January 1945) is a former British Royal Navy officer who served as Master of the Household between 2000 and 2005. Naval career Blackburn was appointed to his first command, the minesweeper , in 1972. He became equerry to the Duke of Edinburgh in 1976, executive officer of the cruiser in 1978 and commander of the destroyer in 1983. Early life and family Blackburn was born on 1 January 1753 at Newbury, Berkshire, England. He was eldest son of Rev. John Blackburn (d.1762) and his wife Elizabeth (née Martineau, b.1725). His family moved to Norwich after John's death in 1762. Also living at Norwich was his aunt, Dame Sarah Martineau (1725–1800) who wrote comforting letters to family members, including her sister-in-law and niece – David's mother and sister respectively – concerning her nephew's well-being and death.
